Reading through Proverbs 31:11-31 we can clearly see that (in her own way) the Proverbs 31 Woman is a force! She is quick, hardworking, energetic, vigilant, strong, and probably wealthy. After all, Proverbs 31 is talking about a woman right? It even refers to a “band of men!” At first this doesn’t seem to make sense. Believe it or not, the word “virtuous” used in Proverbs 31 is a very military-like word. Some other definitions are “wealth”, “valor”, and “strength”. When I looked up the word “virtue” using my Bible study software, the first thing I saw describing this word was “a force”. “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” Proverbs 31:10 So, without further ado… let’s get started.

It was a little overwhelming for me to see how much you and I can learn from this woman. Many things can be learned about the Proverbs 31 Woman in every verse. The example of the Proverbs 31 Woman is God’s ideal for every woman… and she’s a godly man’s ideal as well. I love the Proverbs 31 Woman! She is my favorite female role model in the Bible (although Esther comes very close!).
